another car, driven by Tia Thomson, injuring her and passenger Steven Feeney.

Nicusa Gasurilas, a passenger in Vlad’s car, was also hurt and both vehicles were damaged.

Depute fiscal Matthew Kerr said the accused was seen driving his vehicle up a hill and around a bend before reaching a straight stretch of the A93.

He was about half-way along the straight stretch when he started to overtake the vehicle directly in front of him.

As he approached the service road leading to Bennathie House, he was “directly alongside” the vehicle he was attempting to overtake.

Ms Thomson, who was driving along the Moorfield Straight, was then confronted by two cars “side by side, fast approaching her.”

The fiscal explained: On seeing each other, they immediately braked but were unable to avoid a head-on collision.”

Both vehicles were extensively damaged and the police and ambulance were contacted.

Ms Thomson suffered from “aches, pains and bruises and a few minor cuts” but didn’t need hospital treatment.

She was later given painkillers for pain in her back, neck and ribs.

The passenger in the accused’s car had cuts to his top lip and chin but refused any treatment.

Mr Feeney went to his doctor and was diagnosed with internal bruising to his lower torso, whiplash and back and neck pains.

He had placed his hands on the dashboard just prior to the crash, causing damage, and is currently awaiting the results of a scan.

Vlad, who earns £300-£400 a week, will pay the fine at the rate of £100 a month.
