-

An Aberdeen-based investment firm has opened a new office in Blairgowrie.

Located on the town’s Leslie Street, Scott James Wealth Management (SJWM) has taken ownership of the St James’s Place practice, formerly run by Alan Learmonth, prior to his move to England.

The business appointed an experienced financial adviser, Graham Smith, earlier this year who will head up the new operation along with administrator, Sorcha Bruce.

In addition, SJWM recently held a launch event at the Dalmore Inn and Restaurant in the village to introduce members of its team to new and existing customers.

The firm aims to support clients and their families to protect and enhance their wealth.

Scott James said: “I am delighted to have been given this opportunity to grow the business into a new part of the country and look forward to the chance to meet, build and strengthen relationships with clients over the coming months. Between us, Graham and I have over 50 years’ experience in financial services.

“We can assure customers that they will receive the same high level of service and wealth of expertise available through the St James’ Place approach that is proven to help clients achieve their goals.”

Graham brings a wealth of expertise in retirement, investment, protection, estate and tax planning following a career spanning nearly 30 years in the financial services sector.

He said: “With my dad living in Rattray, I have a great affinity for the area and look forward to getting to know as many of the local people as possible over the weeks and months ahead.

“Working alongside Scott and the rest of the team, we are aiming to develop the practice by bringing new clients on board and providing unrivalled service to our existing clients that helps them achieve their goals and aspirations.”
