She continued: “All valid gift vouchers and credit notes can still be redeemed up to November 30 at the Perth shop and any time after that at our Dundee shop.

“As a goodwill gesture, This Little Piggy is offering to give a three-month extension on current already issued gift vouchers, if the holder wishes to come into the Perth shop only and get them re-validated for a further three months.

“This only refers to gift vouchers and not credit notes.

“I would like to thank all my lovely, loyal staff and customers past and present for their part in the past 21 years of business and service.”

All five members of staff at the shoe shop had been offered transfers to the store in Broughty Ferry, however none of them wanted to take on the commute.

Meanwhile Bonmarché, based between High Street and St John’s Shopping Centre, has hung up ‘closing down’ banners in its windows.

The retailer went into administra­tion last month, saying it struggled from a sustained period of challengin­g trading conditions.

This comes after a number of other retailers shut up shop in Perth earlier this year, including rent-to-own store Brighthous­e and chocolatie­r Thorntons.
