Hunter and the Bear all set for Perthshire gig

- RACHEL AMERY

An alt-rock band is coming to Perthshire later this month.

Hunter and the Bear will be kick-starting their UK tour by playing at Inchyra Arts Club on Tuesday, March 24.

The band says they are all itching to perform live after working for months in the studio releasing new material.

Frontman Will Irvine said:“This is by miles the most we’ve looked forward to playing shows.

“We’ve been hidden away working on this new material for a while and we’re buzzing to see how the crowds take to it.

“It feels like a huge jump forward for us in terms of songwriting so all that’s left to do now is go out there and get sweaty playing these new bangers.

“We’ll have our spanking new album‘Digital Light’out just before the tour and believe me when I say, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.”

Their debut release was in 2017 and Hunter and the Bear scored a number seven chart position on the iTunes rock chart.

Since then, the boys have racked up numerous sold-out UK shows and have played slots at major festivals.

They took the first half of 2019 off gigging to write and record new material with Grammy-nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon, Twin Atlantic,

Funeral for a Friend), and they are now looking forward to their second release on Friday, March 20.

After their gig in Inchyra, Hunter and the Bear will go on a tour of the UK, including sold-out concerts in both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The gig starts at 7pm on Tuesday, March 24 at Inchyra Arts Club in the Carse of Gowrie.

Tickets cost £15.65 and can be bought online via www. hunterandthebear.co.uk

Over 14s only.
