Lockdown weight loss

-

Few people in Perth can probably say they are enjoying living under lockdown conditions right now but one former NHS worker has proved it can lead to positive changes.

Cherry Hope (56), a retired health visitor and former midwife, has managed to lose a stone in weight and drop a dress size during the last five weeks after exercising and attending WW Open

House, formerly known as WeightWatchersVirtual Workshops.

She explained:“I decided to join WW on the Friday before lockdown so didn’t actually get to attend an in-person workshop and have experienced my whole journey so far virtually.

“It has been brilliant. I am still seeing Gill Cattanach, who would be my coach if I was attending in-person workshops, so it has been great to still be coached by her. Also the app is a wonderful gadget – you have everything you need at your fingertips, including 100s of recipes, top tips, support and, with a touch of a button, you are at your workshop in the comfort of your own home with your comfy clothes on.”

A WW Open House spokesperson said:“Now is the time we should be putting our health first.

“Whether it’s looking to get active, lose weight, make healthier food choices or develop a healthier mindset, WW is welcoming everyone to discover how they can develop the skills and techniques required to build a positive relationship between food, mind and body – for the long term.”
