You’ve got to hand it to these two...

-

Two sisters living in lockdown worked on a beautiful rainbow - but it took more effort than they expected.

Sadie (3) and her sister Darcie-Anna Jamieson (2) stay in Glenlyon and Sadie goes to nursery there.

When they all had to stay at home because of coronavirus, Sadie wanted to make a giant rainbow to help the family feel happy.

The problem was they lived far from a shop and had no coloured paper or card, so Sadie and her mum Danielle painted every sheet of white paper a different colour, on both sides.

Sadie wanted to make the rainbow out of hands so she drew round her little sister’s fingers and helped cut out the hundred or so hands it took to complete the colourful design. Then they taped the paper hands to the glass in their front porch.

It took a very long time but it was worth it.
