November by-elections

Perth and Kinross Council has provisionally scheduled two council by-elections for November.

The by-election for Perth City North was due to take place in May but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

A new councillor is needed after the SNP’s leader Dave Doogan was elected the MP for Angus in the general election in December.

Following the sad passing of SNP councillor Bob Band in March, a by-election for Perth City South (Ward 10) has also been provisionally planned for November.

The scheduled date for the Perth City North by-election is November 26, 2020 but PKC did not confirm if the Perth City South by-election would be scheduled for the same day.
