Sewing ladies have it in the bag as they help local NHS staff
A stalwart band of ladies in the villages of Luncarty and Stanley have been helping the NHS locally by utilising their sewing machine skills to make laundry bags for scrubs, face masks and some sets of scrubs.
Donations from other folk in the two villages have supplied cloth, pillowcases, thread and tape.
So far, around 150 laundry bags have been donated to staff in a variety of departments in Perth Royal Infirmary.
In addition, there is a group of ladies with knitting and crochet skills who are lovingly creating pairs of hearts for the COVID-19 ward in Ninewells Hospital.
One heart is given to the patient and the corresponding heart to a family member or loved one.
