Swim club’s online Q&A with Carlin

A famous face from the world of swimming provided Perth City Swim Club with an insightful evening of entertainment.

Olympic and Commonwealth Games medallist Jazz Carlin delighted members by tuning in for a question and answer session last week.

The virtual event was made possible through the Zoom application and followed on from similar online events with club stalwarts Stephen Milne and Scott McLay.

“We are looking at ways to engage with all levels of the club, from the wee Friday night swimmers to our performance swimmers,”said club president Carol McPartland. “National swimmers and Team GB swimmers have been doing their own thing online to promote health, wellbeing and staying active.

“We are trying to latch onto this and the obvious place to start was with Stephen Milne and Scott McLay. The kids could ask Stephen and Scott questions.

“The next week we did it with our three youth squad swimmers - Jack Muncey, Katherine Bailey and Ellie Turner. We were getting up to three screens of kids joining.
