Mobility transport charityto reopen
Charity Perth Access Cars is reopening for business next week.
Like many enterprises in the region, Perth Action Cars, which has been in existence for around 30 years, has been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But on Monday, July 13 it will open its doors once more.
The aim of the charity is to increase mobility for disabled people, both young and old, and their carers in Perth and Kinross.
It provides a door to door personal transport service, particularly for those in wheelchairs or with poor mobility or ill health.
The service is available to both individuals and organisations.
Up until the lockdown, it provided on average 40 runs per week. All of its six vans are converted to take wheelchairs and are driven by volunteers.
The charity recently purchased a new van with grant aid from the Gannochy Trust, The Guildry Incorporation Perth and the Perth Common Good Fund.
