Fun day at Blair Castle to mark reopening of grounds

-

Blair Castle and Estates is hosting a family fun day this weekend to mark the reopening of the grounds.

Bosses at the attraction are promising“a full programme of activity for families wishing to cast off their‘lockdown blues’ and expend some energy”.

The day will include events for kids, mums and dads. It is a way to officially welcome everyone back to the castle’s grounds, with its walled garden, sculpture trail, play facilities, deer park, waymarked trails and wide open spaces.

Chloe Thornton, marketing executive at Blair Castle, said: “We are delighted to be able to welcome visitors to Blair Castle again and have made this Saturday a bit of a celebration that everyone can enjoy.

“After months of lockdown and extensive preparations to ensure we provide a safe environment for visitors, the castle grounds are looking stunning.

“The herbaceous borders are in full bloom, trees have burst into leaf and wildlife has returned in abundance with plenty of red squirrels and birdlife enjoying the land. With lots to entertain the family and expend some energy, this is the perfect place to shake-off any lockdown blues.”

Saturday’s events follow a special fundraiser and community day at Blair Castle on Wednesday, July 15 which raised over £500 for the Blair Atholl Resilience Group.
