I am writing to you today about an opportunity for businesses to do good for their workforce and their local community in Perth and Kinross.
Since March, PKAVS has been operating a Tampon Taxi - a way for local people who need period products to have them delivered to their door for free.
Access to period products is essential and, in these difficult times, it’s become even harder for some families to provide them.
At PKAVS, we put period dignity front and centre- that means easy, stigmafree access to a wide range of the products people want to use, including both single use and reusable options.
As demand increases and the need for period dignity in Perth and Kinross grows, we need your support.
That’s why we have teamed up with Scotland-based social enterprise Hey Girls to connect communities and businesses like never before.
Every Period Dignity purchase you make from them will generate vital donations to our PKAVS Tampon Taxi delivery service.
This has benefits for you as an employer too. Period dignity is essential to health and wellbeing at work.
Providing period products in the work place can improve wellbeing and job satisfaction for your employees, as well as making them feel seen and valued.
The Hey Girls Period Dignity campaign is part and parcel of a wider campaign to assist employers, leisure and facility providers to make conditions a little more equal for women at work and play.
If you’re interested in signing up to the scheme, or would like to find out more, please complete our note of interest form at https://bit. ly/3mFNnct.
Whilst we understand this may not be for everyone, it would be appreciated if you could share this with your own Perth and Kinross networks.
You can find out more about our work via Facebook or Twitter – feel free to give us a tag if you’re sharing wider. Vicky Chapman
