Councillor to stand at next Scottish Parliament elections
A Perth and Kinross councillor is standing as a candidate for Dunfermline in the Scottish Parliament elections in 2021.
Strathearn councillor Roz McCall has been selected as the Conservative candidate for the Fife constituency.
The Strathearn representative recently came third when she stood as the Westminster candidate for Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Kirkintilloch East in the 2019 general election.
And while the previous Scottish Conservatives Holyrood candidate came third in Dunfermline in the 2016 Scottish Parliament election, Cllr McCall is hopeful of turning things round.
She said:“I like to talk to people and see what the local problems are. I really believe our job is to work on behalf of people.
“The whole point of standing is to make a difference to people.
“I love it and that’s what I enjoy. When I get in that’s what I will do.”
