Man faces trial over fly-tipping

A 28-year-old man has denied dumping soil and assorted garden waste on land at an access road near Bridge of Earn.

Grant Matthew will face trial on the fly-tipping charge at Perth Sheriff Court on July 7, 2021.

He denied by letter that he flouted the 1990 Environmental Protection Act on the road leading to Sandyknowes Cottage, near its junction with Rhynd Road.

It is alleged that he dumped the controlled material without the authority of a waste management licence.

Matthew, of Valley Gardens, Kirkcaldy, had an earlier court hearing scheduled for June 3.
