Call out to talented youngsters
Perform in Perth - the annual music festival entered by schools - will be run in 2021 with video submissions sent to adjudicators.
The event held each March includes classes in Gaelic, Bible reading, dance, song, baton twirling and more besides just instrument playing.
On the perthshire-music-festival.org.uk website, one adjudicator Donal McCrisken MBE has produced a very encouraging video giving advice to anyone planning on taking part.
A spokesperson said:“All performances will be adjudicated, as normal, but the end result will be a number of compiled videos which will be streamed via the festival website.
“We are delighted that, when so much is still being cancelled, we have found a way to proceed and to allow everyone to perform in 2021, our centenary year.”
The entry system is online, as in previous years, but entries from further afield are expected as performers will be able to submit their performances from home.
