Birthday celebrations for a Perth man’s partner turned nasty when she invited a neighbour to join them.
As more alcohol was consumed, 40-year-old Leon McLeod became “somewhat highly strung,” Perth Sheriff Court was told.
And for reasons unknown to the other people present, he seemed to develop the idea of some “infidelity.”
About 6am the next morning, “the sound of banging” was heard coming from the property in Newhouse Road.
McLeod, of Logie Crescent, was also shouting and swearing at his partner and appeared to be throwing items around the flat.
When police arrived, the house was said to be in a “state of disarray”.
He admitted causing a disturbance in the Newhouse Road flat on September 19, 2020. Part of the charge which alleged he broke a door and a wardrobe was deleted. He had his sentence deferred until April 28 to ensure there was no repetition of his behaviour.
