Teen on sex charges

The trial of a teenager accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl has been delayed until the spring.

It was to have taken place in January but will not go ahead now until March 22.

Eighteen-year-old Kyle McLean had an earlier hearing scheduled for March 4.

The accused, now of the Greyfriars Hostel,

Princes Street, Perth, and previously of Hatton Place, Rattray, had his bail continued.

He is alleged to have had sex with the under-age youngster – when he was 17 – at a house in Strathearn between October 26 and November 19, 2019.

He has also denied two other charges involving the female.
