CHRISTMAS DISPLAY

There is a beautiful Nativity display in Nurse Peattie’s Garden, created by a group of willing volunteers. Also in the garden is a beautiful Christmas tree decorated by the Abernethy In Bloom committee, along with Christmas lights.

The church community has also been working on a couple of projects. One is hundreds of knitted angels which are now hanging on the church gates at both Abernethy Church and Arngask Church. The angels were knitted by a band of willing volunteers in the community and are there for people in the community to take one for their Christmas tree. Each angel is accompanied by a Christmas message.

There is also a carol trail round the village, organised by the church. Posters are appearing around the village from today, with words of the first verse of well known carols, with a QR code so people can listen to the whole carol on their phone and sing along.

Details of all these projects can be found on our church and village Facebook

Brig in Bloom is asking people to display a tree in their garden or window; the tree can be of any structure. Let us all be part of lighting up our local area and make people smile as we approach Christmas.
