I’ve just read your report on Perth and Kinross Council moving money from the roads budget to the city hall project (PA, December 18).

To say that’s unacceptable is an understatement. The roads where I live up by the old Murray Hospital are a disgrace and most of the other roads around Perth are no better, including the main A85.

These people are not fit to run this council and do not understand the needs of the Perth public.

This news comes on top of officers getting a £10,000 pay raise, which again proves they’re living in La La Land.

Surely the prioritisation should be other things, like the Tay Bridge getting built due to the council giving permission to build 500 plus house in that area.

I could go on, but the point is this council isn’t fit for purpose.

They don’t think about the people they work for but just themselves and pretty projects.

Fix the roads - properly. Don’t just fill them with little bits of tarmac.

A very upset Perth council tax payer
