At wheel on drugs
A student has been fined £540 and banned for seven months after he was caught in charge of a car while unfit through drink or drugs.
The incident took place just a stone’s throw from Perth police headquarters, the sheriff court was told.
Twenty-four year-old David Law, of School Road, Forgandenny, pled guilty to the offence in Perth’s Caledonian Road, at its junction with Barrack Street, on December 30, 2018.
The court heard that there had been a road traffic accident, the accused was depressed and had then taken drugs.
“He’s very much in a better place now, with a support network in place,”stated lawyer David Holmes.
