Kind-hearted duo’s festive meal donation

- ROBBIE CHALMERS

Two local business owners decided to put food on the table for local homeless charities in Perth this festive season.

The joint working partnership between Andy Chan and Aziz Rehman saw the pair prepare and cook free meals for those less fortunate on Christmas Day and will continue to do so over the next couple of weeks.

Andy runs a family takeaway in the city’s Glengarry Road and Aziz runs Must Eat takeaways in Perth and Aberfeldy. He is also vice-chairman of the Perth Welfare Society Association.

The kind-hearted duo are delivering hot meals for residents in St Catherine’s Square, Greyfriars House on Princes Street and for those at the Churches Action for the Homeless (CATH) sites.

Andy said:“Our partnership working shows that we can really achieve so much more when we work together in cooperation, sharing our resources and our good will.

“May I take this opportunity to wish you a safe and happy festive period and I hope 2021 is a peaceful and safer one.”
