Hamper gifts brought some festive cheer to Perth residents

- ROBBIE CHALMERS

A new project in Perth oversaw the delivery of Christmas lunch hampers to those in need over the festive season.

The new scheme, called The Neuk, partnered up with Andys Man Club Perth and Gleneagles Hotel, who supplied all the delivery boxes, to make it all possible.

The Neuk is a new mental health crisis hub and as part of the project launched a social media campaign for people to nominate those who may not be able afford a Christmas dinner or those who have contributed to their local community through COVID as a thank you.

The teams delivered over 40 hampers in total on Christmas

Eve for those nominated residents to enjoy over Christmas.

Alex McClintock, who works with The Neuk, said:“The hampers were donated to Andys Man Club Perth and The Neuk from Gleneagles Hotel and we had an amazing response when we turned up delivering some festive cheer across Perth and Kinross.”
