PKC could pay up to £180k for estate advice
Perth and Kinross Council is prepared to pay real estate advisors up to £180,000 to work out how much its properties are worth, according to the terms of a contract agreement published online.
The contract award notice says the local authority has selected the Chicago-headquartered outfit Jones Lang LaSalle to perform valuations for “a selection” of unspecified properties over the next four years in exchange for the six figure sum.
A description of the contract reads: “PKC wishes to appoint an external valuer to perform the valuation of a selection of properties owned by the council on an annual basis for financial years 2020/21 to 2023/24.”
Other contract award notices just published show PKC recently forked out over £55,000 patching up two properties. One says PKC paid Perth-based Meldrum
Construction £41,836 to work on a property in Perth while another says it paid Chas Stewart Plumbing and Heating Engineers a further £13,206 to “improve” a property in Blairgowrie.
The local authority is also currently inviting companies to bid for work servicing and maintaining fire extinguishing systems in its buildings for the next three years. It estimates the value of the work to be around £308,000.
