Womanadmits pocketing£4k

-

A 41-year-old woman admitted embezzling £4000 from a top public school at Bridge of Earn while working as a swimming manager.

Stacy Bookless, of Fordyce Way, Auchterarder, will be sentenced on February 3 after background reports have been prepared.

She admitted pocketing the cash between May 6, 2014, and November 1, 2018, at Kilgraston School.

She had originally been charged with helping herself to £5747 but had her guilty plea accepted to the lesser amount.

Perth Sheriff Court was told she was repaying the missing cash.

Sheriff William Wood called for reports to see if there were any ‘underlying issues’ which needed to be investigated.

The school, set in 72 acres of parkland, was founded in 1930 by the Society of the Sacred Heart.
