Recalled Dannyso grateful
Danny McNamara has given his heartfelt thanks to St Johnstone after receiving an emotional farewell.
The full-back, recalled from his loan by parent club Millwall, played his final game for the Perth club on Saturday afternoon.
While he did not sign off with the victory he was hoping for in Dingwall, his experience with Saints has proved hugely beneficial.
McNamara quickly became a fans’ favourite and feels he heads back down to London with confidence to kick his career on further.
After the 1-1 draw against Ross County, he smiled: “It was emotional. In the changing room at the end I got a nice farewell.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure. The lads have been excellent to me and the farewell I received was just brilliant.
“Before the game, I was treating it like every other one. I wanted to end on a win and obviously it would’ve been nice to score.
