Chippy’s charity efforts

A Pitlochry chippy excelled itself with New Year’s Day fundraisin­g.

The Plaice to Be fish and chip shop held a charity day on January 1 and collected an impressive £2067 for the Pitlochry Food Bank.

Owner Hugh Foster expressed his gratitude:“A huge thank you to everyone who supported our charity day, either by coming in today for fish and chips or by giving donations, and to all those people who have handed in donations over the past month.

“Thanks to your overwhelmi­ng generosity, we will be able to hand over a whopping £2067 to the Pitlochry Food Bank.”
