A Perth secondary school put on a virtual festive concert to end 2020 on a high note.

Pupils and staff from Perth Grammar School came together to perform‘A December to Remember’ over the Christmas season.

The concert was broadcast on the school’s YouTube channel on December 21 and has been heralded as“a brilliant success”.

Pupils from across the school had been rehearsing after school since October to bring it together.

The concert would traditionally be a sell-out performance held in the school theatre, but this time around the school had to move online due to the pandemic.

A school spokesperson said:“Families from the school’s learning community came together online to watch the performance, along with many local primary schools and nursing homes tuning in over the final week of the school term.

“Pupils from the school’s expressive arts faculty studying advanced Highers this year are also completing the Scottish Baccalaureate in Expressive Arts for the first time at Perth Grammar School.

“The digital concert has provided pupils with the perfect project to progress their studies.

“This project has involved senior pupils taking on leadership roles in all aspects of organising the concert.”

The concert can be viewed on the school’s YouTube channel at www.youtube. com/c/perthgrammaradmi
