Denies charge
A Perth man has denied being in possession of a knife on a local housing estate.
William Black (45), described as a prisoner at Perth, will face trial before a jury during the week beginning February 8.
He is alleged to have had the blade at Perth’s Menzies Court on November 15, 2019, while subject to a bail order from the Perth Justice of the Peace Court on November 8.
A second charge on the indictment claims the accused wilfully or recklessly smashed the window of a house in Menzies Court the same day.
Lawyer David Holmes told Perth Sheriff Court that discussions had taken place to resolve the matter but they had not “borne fruit.”
