Work has started on a new housing development in Perth.

Miller Homes is aiming to create a 71-home development, which will also include facilities for the area.

The homes will consist of three, four and five bedroom family properties.

Retail outlets, a doctor’s surgery and communal community space will form part of the development, along with a playpark for resident’s use.

The Ruthvenfield Road site is also close to the new Bertha Park secondary school.

Work started this month and the first homes will be ready to move into in the autumn.

A four bedroom Marwood show home will open on the development in late summer.
