Backin courtfor flouting order

-

A 31-year-old man has made a brief appearance in private at Perth Sheriff Court, accused of flouting an interim Sexual Offences Prevention Order just nine days after it was imposed.

Gordon Simpson, of Skinnergate House, Perth, made no plea and his case was continued for further inquiries.

It is alleged that Simpson was subject to the order, imposed at the Perth court on January 12, 2021, which required him to tell the officer monitoring him of any electrical device he owned or used that was capable of accessing the internet.

But it is claimed that on January 21, 2021, at Skinnergate House, he had such a device - a mobile phone - in his possession.

Represented by local lawyer Pauline Cullerton, he was remanded in custody by Sheriff Neil Bowie.
