Duo accused of stamping on woman’s head

A man and a woman have been accused of attacking another woman by repeatedly stamping on her head and endangerin­g her life.

Forty-year-old Kerry Bott, of Farragon, Old Crieff Road, and Ian McDougall (41), of Cluny Crescent, both Aberfeldy, are also alleged to have scarred their victim for life.

They were represente­d by Perth lawyers David Holmes and Pauline Cullerton respective­ly at an indictment hearing at Perth Sheriff Court.

It is alleged that on July 22, 2018, at Dunkeld Street, Aberfeldy, they assaulted Karen Ogilvie by repeatedly punching her on the head and body and knocking her to the ground.

The duo are then said to have pulled the female by the hair, repeatedly kicked her on the head and body and repeatedly stamped on her head, to her severe injury, permanent impairment, permanent disfigurem­ent and to the danger of her life.

A further hearing was scheduled for May 13.
