Thanks go to friends Sandra and Christine of Leven for being super foster mums to a pregnant domestic female who had lost all her fur. Her kittens are all booked for new homes and Christine is keeping the mum.

Sue has a queue of ladies desperate to knit blankets who are in need of wool if anyone has any to spare please – it can be dropped off at our Newburgh shop, currently open 10am-3pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Big thanks go to Sarah Walder, longtime supporter of Whinnybank, for her hard work fundraising with her crafts and her very kind donation.

If you can offer a home to a cat or help at fundraising events, in our shops, or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/whinnybank and www.whinnybank.org.uk

Our programme included pipe and fiddle music, songs, recitations and a stirring Immortal Memory from honorary member Professor David Purdie.

After the video, the attendees sang Auld Lang Syne, then enjoyed some great banter with all mics open.

It was very heartening to see everyone pitching in and helping to dispel the COVID gloom for a while. Our thanks go to all who contributed pieces to the video, and to the Perth Film Makers Club who edited the production.

We’ll now try to create DVDs and a YouTube video which people can access at their leisure.

Our ‘Sangs an Clatter’ evening is scheduled for Tuesday, February 23, and it’s likely we’ll use Zoom again given the continuing COVID-19 restrictions.

Further details to follow.
