Kinnoull duo sign

-

Despite football being shelved due to the coronavirus pandemic, management at Kinnoull remain keen to build for the future.

And the East of Scotland League Conference B side have this week tied two of their key players down on longer contracts.

Pat Brown and Ben Ragan have both put pen to paper on new two-and-a-half year contracts, keeping them at Tulloch Park until the summer of 2023.

It was an easy decision for midfielder Brown to extend his stay.

He said:“We have a really talented squad who want to be successful at the club and the atmosphere within the dressing room is brilliant.

“With both the talent and team spirit that we have, it is a really exciting time to be part of this squad.

“It is also really promising to see the hard work that the committee and coaching staff continue to do in order to help the club progress to the next level.”

Kinnoull, much like local rivals Luncarty, had made a promising opening to the league campaign and were determined to rise up the standings further.

The Perth side were positioned in fourth when action was halted at the start of January. They had a record of five wins, one draw and two losses from their eight games.

Clubs were this week awaiting word as to when - and if - the current season will be continuing.
