Man wandered in house naked and spat out teeth
A man wandered into a house in Bridge of Earn in a state of undress and repeatedly “spat his false teeth out onto the floor.”
Fifty-eight-year-old Eric Donaldson, who had been living in the village, then rummaged through handbags and drawers and refused to leave, Perth Sheriff Court heard.
The accused was said by lawyer Mike Tavendale to have “little or no recollection of the incident at all.”
Sheriff Neil Bowie called for a social work report and
Restriction of Liberty Order assessment on Donaldson, previously of Todd Place, Bridge of Earn, before passing sentence.
He admitted that he entered a house in Poplar Avenue, Bridge of Earn, uninvited on January 12, 2021, acted aggressively, repeatedly picked things up, refused to leave when asked to do so and repeatedly shouted and swore.
A not guilty plea was accepted to a second charge of stealing a bizarre range of items - a pencil sharpener, a framed print, a playing card and a pair of slippers.
Mr Tavendale said his client suffers from epilepsy and had taken his medication.
“He’s also on a methadone prescription,” added the lawyer.
“He’s no idea how he came to be there.”
The accused, who is moving to Perth, will return to court on March 3.
The background to the incident will be given then.
