A Perth man has denied driving near his home with more than double the legal alcohol limit.

Forty-six-year-old Edward Wilson, of Weaver’s Well Crescent, will face trial at Perth Sheriff Court on September 6.

An earlier hearing has been scheduled for August 19.

It is alleged that on January 7, 2021, he drove on Weaver’s Well Crescent with 48 microgrammes of alcohol on his breath.

The maximum allowed is 22. Represented by Perth lawyer Linda Clark, he was freed on bail.
