Deaths

Two prisoners have passed away in separate jails in parts of Perthshire in the past week.

Paul Hogwood (60), a prisoner at HMP Perth, and Andrew Hutcheson (53), a prisoner at HMP Castle Huntly, both died in the last seven days.

Hogwood was convicted at Glasgow High Court in 2016. Hutcheson was convicted at Dundee Sheriff Court the following year.

Both deaths have been reported to Police Scotland and the procurator fiscal, and two fatal accident inquiries will be held in due course.
