Website launched

An initiative backed by NHS Tayside has launched a new and improved website which will allow the service to engage with more young people in Perth and Kinross.

The Corner’s website boasts new features including a live chat option and the opportunity to book appointments online.

It provides young people, parents, carers and professionals with a range of online support including information on sexual health, emotional health, crisis intervention and counselling.

Due to COVID-19, The Corner has had to adapt its way of working, with the usual drop-in sessions in Dundee now moving online.

The new website will help staff to deliver online consultations and reach more people than ever before.

Health outreach officer at The Corner Caroline Millar said: “We have taken the time during the pandemic to think hard about how we communicate with young people.

“We have embodied the ethos and values of The Corner in the website and have created an innovative service which is at the forefront of service delivery in the city.

“This development allows us to still act locally but with a potentially global reach.

“We hope that young people enjoy the new website and would encourage everyone to log on and check out our new features.”

The Corner offers one-toone support and counselling services to all young people aged 11-19 years old as well as vulnerable people up to age of 25.
