Perth and Kinross Council has agreed to pay a computer consultancy based in Manchester over a quarter of a million pounds to help staff gather people’s rent.
The local authority has hired Mobysoft to provide data analytical software services “to assist in maximising rental income” through a contract valued at £258,470.
Under a separate agreement PKC has also hired a company based in Marlow near London to provide its staff business support services for a further £180,390.
According to a contract notice award published online, Softcat will also provide council staff software and “ad hoc consultancy days” through the agreement.
