Man to face trial for alleged attack on his wife

A 57-year-old man will face trial at Perth Sheriff Court on April 20, accused of attacking his wife by hurling a remote control at her and grabbing her by the throat.

Grant Sherry, of Queich Place, Kinross, had an earlier hearing scheduled for April 1.

It is alleged that on January 20, 2021, at a house in Montgomery Street, Kinross, he assaulted Kathryn Sherry by throwing the remote and striking her on the head, pushing her onto a bed and seizing her by the throat, to her injury.

He was freed on bail meantime but a special condition was imposing, banning him from Montgomery Street.
