Arrestafter deathof woman
A man has been arrested following the death of a woman in Inchture.
A 44-year-old female was pronounced dead at a property on Orchard Way on Saturday evening.
The incident was labelled by authorities as “suspicious”.
Police said they believe the woman’s death is linked to another incident in Dundee on Sunday where a man was “threatening self-harm”.
The spokesperson said: “Officers responded to reports of a concern for a person at a property on Orchard Way, Inchture at around 11.40pm on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
“Emergency services attended and a 44-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as suspicious. A 46-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
The spokesperson added: “Around 8.45am on February 14 officers were called to an address in Balunie Street (in Dundee) where a 46-year-old man was threatening selfharm within a house.
“Officers, assisted by public order trained officers and negotiators attended.
“There was no threat to the wider public. At around 8.50pm the 46-year-old man was arrested.”
