-

Auction’ saw a flurry of interest.

Bidders were from all over Scotland and abroad.

Bottle number 20 of the series was selected for the bidding because FeldyRoo launched in the year 2020 and number 20 was bottled and signed by the charity’s founder, Gavin Price MBE. It sold for a whopping £3000.

Bottle number 21, picked for the year 2021, was signed by the new Feldy-Roo local organiser volunteer and part-time fireman Ross Menzies. It got a final bid of £1521.

A further four bottles remain for FeldyRoo to auction or give as raffle prizes at a later date.

Gavin Price said: “Bottle 20 went for £3000, with a late, late bid from an anonymous bidder from Elgin. It is fair to say we were all stunned.”

Ross Menzies said: “This whole involvement with Dewar’s over the Feldy-Roo limited edition has been wonderful.

“The distillery has been fantastic to us from the start and it was great that some of us were allowed to go and bottle it ourselves and be part of the process - a very special experience.”

A Feldy-Roo teddy bear went for £180, bringing the combined cash total from the auction evening to close to £5000.
