Man faces car smash charge
A Perthshire man has been accused of driving dangerously by performing a U-turn on the A9, on the outskirts of Perth and smashing into another car, seriously injuring two people.
Seventy-year-old Brian Raitt, of Grand Eagles Caravan Site, Dunning Road, Auchterarder, had a further Perth Sheriff Court hearing scheduled for April 15.
The indictment he faces alleges that on July 20, 2018, on the PerthDunblane road, near Broxden, he caused serious injury to Amanda and Odhran Burr by driving dangerously.
It is alleged that he pulled out from a lay-by - to perform a U-turn - into the path of an oncoming car and collided with that vehicle.
