Man facing five charges of sexual assault

-

A 46-year-old man has denied five charges of sexually assaulting four different women in the Perthshire village of Stanley.

Daniel Crees is alleged to have repeatedly touched the private parts of several of the females, over their clothes with his feet - and once with his hand.

He is also said to have repeatedly asked one of the alleged sex attack victims to expose her breasts “intentionally

and for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification or of humiliating, distressing or alarming” her.

The incidents are claimed to have happened between May 18, 2019, and June 22, 2019, with six of them said to have taken place at a house in the village.

In one of the alleged attacks, Crees is accused of repeatedly touching one of the women on the thigh with his hand. He is also accused of trying to kiss one of them on the mouth and of making comments about her breasts and buttocks.

Crees further denied repeatedly shouting and swearing and making offensive comments on June 22, 2019.

The accused, of Broadstairs, Kent, is set to stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court on March 1.
