More than £200,000 was paid out to over 2000 families in Perth and Kinross from a Scottish Government fund.
The £100 COVID winter hardship payment was aimed at supporting families through one of the most difficult winters in living memory.
The payment was made available to families who were in receipt of free school meals and was paid from November 30 to the start of the winter school holidays.
Roseanna Cunningham, MSP for Perthshire South and Kinross-shire, said:“These recently published figures show once again that the Scottish Government is working hard to put cash in the pockets of those who desperately need a bit of extra help in these really hard times.
“I know that the financial strain on many people has been incredibly hard with lost earnings, increased food bills and cold weather, and I hope that this payment has gone some way to easing that pressure.”
