Interviews soon for top PKC job
Candidates for the vacant chief executive role at Perth and Kinross Council will be interviewed next month
The deadline for applications for the top job at Perth and Kinross Council closed at midnight on Monday, February 15.
It follows the departure of Karen Reid who left to become chief executive of NHS Education for Scotland on February 1.
A shortlist of candidates is expected to be drawn up in the next few weeks with the selected candidates expected to be interviewed at the end of March.
Interviews will be conducted by
PKC’s appointment sub-committee, made up of Conservative council leader Murray Lyle, Conservative councillor John Duff, SNP councillors Grant Laing and Fiona Sarwar, and Lib Dem councillor Peter Barrett.
The recently retired chief executive of East Ayrshire Council - Fiona Lees will be the independent professional adviser and PKC’s chief operating officer Karen Donaldson will assist as human resources adviser.
A PKC spokesperson confirmed depute chief executive Barbara Renton assumed the responsibilities of interim chief executive on February 1.
