Emma to bolster Fair City PR team

-

A PR and marketing agency in Perth has moved to strengthen its team in preparation for“a period of economic recovery”.

Volpa has appointed award-winning PR practitioner Emma Davies to the role of account director.

Emma was awarded ‘accredited practitioner’ status by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), the communication industry’s leading professional body in the UK, in February last year and recently completed the strategic marketing module of Heriot Watt’s Edinburgh Business School’s MBA course, which she undertook while furloughed.

Tricia Fox, founder of Volpa, said:“Despite being furloughed due to a drop in work, [Emma] has worked hard to upskill and I believe she is an asset to our business.

“Due to our prominence in the tourism, leisure, and events sectors, we have been impacted by the pandemic and there is much work to be done on rebuilding. I am looking forward to doing this alongside Emma.”

Emma added:“Being furloughed has been challenging, however, it did create a fairly unique opportunity for me to revisit my formal education, and the ability to invest significant time in further learning.

“I am confident these new skills and knowledge will be put to very good use in the years to come as we work with clients to help them navigate the inevitable challenges of economic recovery.”
