Woman was pushed out of flat by angry ex

- COURT REPORTER

Two weeks after splitting up with his girlfriend, a 38-year-old man phoned her, complaining he had no food.

She took pity on him and made him a meal but stipulated it had to be a takeaway.

But when Szymon Tasior turned up at her flat in Hillyland, he had been drinking - and wanted to stay the night, Perth Sheriff Court was told.

And when she refused, he became aggressive, started shouting and pushed her from the kitchen and out of her own home.

The accused, of St Catherine’s Road, admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner, shouting and swearing, repeatedly pushing her outside and refusing to let her back in by holding the door shut in Nimmo Place on September 2, 2020.

Part of the charge which alleged he was holding a meat tenderiser at the time was delated.

Depute fiscal Lisa Marshall said they had been in a relationship for around 18 months but separated a fortnight earlier.

The police were contacted after he ignored repeated demands to leave.

Officers arrived about 11.30pm and the accused was traced outside. He was arrested around midnight.

Solicitor Jamie Baxter said: “He accepts matters got out of hand. He wasn’t happy about leaving because a number of his belongings were there.

“The relationship had just ended although they remained on speaking terms.”

There had been “shouting and swearing” on both sides and she had only been out of her flat for a minute or so.

Sheriff Neil Bowie deferred sentence until March 26 to seek the woman’s views on whether a Non-Harassment Order should be imposed.
