Man,49, issued threats
A Perth man who behaved in a threatening and abusive manner in the city centre has been ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work over the next nine months.
The community payback order will “dovetail”with a previous order imposed on 49-year-old Paul Bonner after he climbed through the window of a local flat, while high on a cocktail of drink and drugs, and left the occupant distressed and traumatised.
The latest incident involved the accused acting aggressively towards a man in Perth’s Murray Street on December 13, 2019, pushing him and making threatening comments.
Part of the charge which alleged he demanded money from the other man was deleted.
Perth Sheriff Court was told that Bonner, of Carnegie Place, had been “doing fairly well”on the existing two-year, 200-hour unpaid work and supervision order imposed in February, 2020.
He was also told to undertake drug and alcohol counselling after he was convicted of climbing into a flat in St Catherine’s Road, Perth, on June 17, 2019, shouting and swearing and making abusive remarks.
