Two new trustees join DofE team

Perth and Kinross Duke of edinburgh award associatio­n has welcomed two new trustees.

ex army officer Paul rennie-Smith and Pr consultant elaine howie have both joined the team, which is based at the award Office in Kincarrath­ie house Drive, Perth.

Paul’s last role was as the commanding officer of 32 Signal regiment, based in Glasgow. he left the military in 2014, and since then has worked for a numberofor­ganisation­s. heiscurren­tlya programme director with Fujitsu.

he said:“I am really looking forward to working with the board and being able to contribute towards the objectives of the organisati­on and making a difference for the young people that we work with.”

elaine howie previously worked in Perth at United Distillers UK at Cherrybank and has provided Pr and communicat­ions support for some of the UK’s leading corporate and luxury brands.

She said:“having enjoyed such a wide and varied career personally, including working with some third sector organisati­ons, I look forward to sharing my experience and to working with the associatio­n.

“The dedicated team work tirelessly to deliver the programmes and the fantastic feedback from the young people they work with is a tremendous endorsemen­tofthework­theydo. Iamlooking forward to helping them continue to achieve such good things post-lockdown.”

The associatio­n has been delivering unique learning experience­s to young people for many years at locations throughout Perth and Kinross including Megginch Castle estate, Dupplin estate and the GannochyTr­ust.
