Kickstart scheme offers training

-

For businesses involved in or thinking of becoming involved in the Kickstart scheme – look out for some information that will be hitting your inbox over the next few days regarding some training opportunities.

The Kickstart scheme is designed to help get young people into work and develop them in their roles.

Alongside getting government support for the placements, employers receive funding to support start up and training costs for their Kickstarters.

As your Kickstart Gateway, the Perthshire Chamber has been working with local member ActionCOACH, and we are delighted to announce that we have secured a programme of bespoke, practical, action-oriented training workshops for chamber members, and Kickstart employers, on a range of topics that you identified and all for a very competitive investment to ensure that they are affordable within the government support.

With essential business skills for both employers and their Kickstarters, the programme will start on Wednesday, October 13 and includes how to run effective recruitment, virtual team leadership, time management, customer service, sales, phone skills (inbound and outbound) and finally a session on success which covers how to set goals and objectives and understand what success looks like.

Look out for the email that will be landing in your inbox over the next few days. These two-hour workshops will take place up until mid-December and have a sliding scale for more than one booking.

If more than three workshops are booked they are an incredible £27 plus VAT per person per session. So look out for your email if you are a member or we are your Kickstart Gateway or for further information and bookings see www.perthshirechamber.co.uk/ events or email events@ perthshirechamber.co.uk
